Information on Taiba Beach

Taiba is a quiet village with a small population of 2,500 and is one of the safest places to live in Brazil. This idyllic coastal setting has been dubbed ‘Brazil’s St Tropez’ – rich Brazilians have their beach hideaways here and Taiba’s pretty streets and old village squares attract artists, chic restaurants, as well as a relaxed café culture.

Buggy in Dunes

Our hot corner in north east Brazil
Taiba gets 320 days of sun! Temperatures average 29 degrees throughout the year, tempered by the gentle winds of the Caribbean Alizé. If it rains it’s a gentle morning drizzle from February to May.

Electricity
European standards - 220 Volts

Eco-water
Villa Taiba Beach is environmentally friendly so you’ll enjoy your showers from natural water supplies sourced from under the house. All bathrooms have been recently renovated to European standards so constant hot water comes from an eco-solar system.

Exotic garden
In season the fruit from our coconut and mango trees are ideal for breakfast, which Antonio or Marifisa can prepare for you.

Health & safety
A few mosquitoes come out at night but a spritz of repellent should keep these away. If you’ve hired a car look out for cows and dogs that tend to cross the road everywhere!

Where’s the party?
To get a feel for the Brazilian party culture it’s 10 minutes to Ceará town or 50 minutes to the bustling city of Fortaleza, with its population of 2 million.

Ceará has become a windsurfing and kite-surf paradise. You can also play tennis, drive to the popular tourist Beach Park attraction or take one of several coastal walks. Considered for the most beautiful beaches and dunes in Brazil, Ceará is the prefect playground for buggy, horse-riding and sunbathing!

The cost of living is cheap in Brazil and you can easily find hotels at very affordable rates if you want to stay the night at Fortaleza and return to Villa Taiba Beach the following day.
